PPSB was established in 1990 as the very first company in Sarawak to manufacture Polyethylene ( PE ) pipes. By that time, PE pipes have already been fully accepted in Europe and other developed parts of the world as an outstanding replacement for metal pipes, especially in water and gas distribution applications. PE pipes have been proven to last more than 50 years and to provide good, clean and safe water quality.
PPSB was
instrumental in convincing all the water and gas authorities in
Sarawak to accept PE Pipes as a superior alternative to metal pipes..
Hitherto, hundreds of kilometres of POLYFLOW PE pipes have been
installed throughout Sarawak, both in the rural and urban areas.
POLYFLOW-PE pipes are also increasingly being used in the internal
plumbing of industrial, commercial and residential buildings.
Nowadays, all modem submarine pipelines use only PE pipes because of
their superior properties compared with pipes of other
materials.
PPSB has always been supplying consistently good
quality pipes to meet the various needs of its customers. For water
and gas distribution applications, POLYFLOW pipes are certified by
SIRIM in complying with both Malaysian and International Standards
such as MS 1058, MS 1086, ISO 4427 ,ISO 4437 and DIN 8074/8075.
To
further ensure that the customers would be more assured of better
service and consistent product quality, the company embarked on the
implementation of the quality management system of IS09001 : 2000.
The certification by AJA Registrars was achieved in July 2001.
